Data from the latest P7 survey shown in the figure below demonstrates an improvement in dental health from just 53% of P1 pupils being free of obvious tooth decay in 2005 to 80% in 2019.
Each NDIP report contains basic assessments for both year groups. Detailed assessments are provided for P1 and P7 children in alternate years.
